Right now we are not hosting online scheduling because the Poetry Project is in “rest” mode. We work with our partner poet to open up lots of sessions a few times a year. BUT you can still book a session! To schedule a session that you will attend yourself or to gift a session to a loved one, please fill out the form below. Once you have completed booking, Diver Van Avery will be in touch with you directly via email to schedule your personalized poetry session.

Would you like to book a poetry session for yourself or gift a session to someone else?
If you choose to gift a session to someone else, you will receive an email within 1-2 business with a unique code as well as an electronic gift card that you can send along to the gift recipient. They can return to the site to fill out their information and schedule a session at their convenience. We are encouraging all gift card recipients to schedule a session in January 2023. More details will be included in your confirmation email.

Your money goes directly to paying the artist a livable wage for her creative work, for increasing Spark & Stitch Institute's work in the arts, and to our equity commitment of donating 5% of all proceeds to Embrace Race. Fee includes thirty minute live session, personalized poem, and poem mailed to you for display.

Lateness Policy

Please plan to be ready for your phone call so we can start on time. If you do not answer your phone, we will call back five minutes after the appointment start time. After that, we will assume the session is cancelled and you will need to schedule another session if you wish to.

Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment by following the link in your confirmation email. All appointments scheduled must be rescheduled with 24-hours notice to avoid being charged for the session. If you do cancel your session without rescheduling, there will be a 10% processing fee. There is some flexibility in this policy for emergency situations but remember a scheduled appointment is time reserved especially for you. Sessions that are "No Show" with no notice of cancellation, or are cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the session, are charged the full amount of the session.

Refund Policy

If the poet is unable to initiate or complete the session for any reason, you will receive a full refund and an opportunity to reschedule.
